A school favorite, Maria Robotnik is a bit of an enigma. She is clearly highly trained in the magical arts, but likes to do things the muggle way. She is very determined and headstrong, almost to the point where her righteousness can get her intro trouble. She is often seen arguing with her cousin in the hallways, mostly over the punishment of students, and her deadly calm deadpan always riles Eggman up. As a result, they have become somewhat of an entertainment act for the first years, something that none of the teachers appreciate.

Maria is and always has been a kindhearted, gentle soul, and that reflects in her teaching. She has the innate ability to sense when a student is struggling and seems to know exactly how to approach the problem. As a result, she has become a popular teacher to request for tutoring and she often has a waiting list for her time, though she does try to make herself available to everyone. This often results in her running herself thin, which, when combined with her frail constitution, will lead her to canceling random classes.

She can see the good in everyone, so she will always give every student an equal chance and does not show house preference like other teachers. However, she will not hesitate to come down hard on her Ravenclaws if they do something wrong. She may be kind, but she is no pushover.

She seems to prefer spending time either by herself or with a Slytherin by the name of Shadow. No one is exactly sure how close they are, but they seem to have some sort of history.
